Outer Focus Photos: Photo of the Day June 29, 2009

Thought I would share this picture from a recent Chalk Festival in Oz Park, Chicago, IL. It has to be viewed at just the right angle for it to look three-dimensional. Pretty neat stuff. Plus, anything with cats is good in my book.

The Chicago Chalk Festival takes place in Oz Park, nestled in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The event sponsors allow artists to create creative, fascinating chalk art drawings on the sidewalks while kids and families enjoy free and low-cost entertainment. All proceeds go towards the Art Therapy Connection, which promotes art therapy for kids at risk of failing in school. The art therapy program helps students develop better communication, self expression, and language skills.

I hope this inspires you to get out your chalk and draw something fun with the kiddies this summer!

Best,
Brigette
