I shared one photo of this lovely couple and the breath-taking Bar Harbor, Maine scenery a few months back. Here are five more that further illustrate what a fun, colorful, adventurous day this was: funky, fun-loving newlyweds, an adoring bridal party, breath-taking views of Acadia National Park, even the vibrant flowers on the dinner plates. We were so lucky to have the most beautiful weather for the most amazing destination wedding location in July, complete with sunset boat cruise around the bay. Adding to the buzz and excitment of the day, President Obama and his family were vacationing just down the street that weekend (yep, I got a photo of them)!
The cake topper was an adorable customized creation commissioned by an Etsy artisan. The bride and groom topper was painted with sideburns like the groom has and tattoos to match the bride’s. So cute! There are hundreds of unique, playful, and creative wedding cake decoration offerings on Etsy.
In 2010, I not only photographed fabulous, fun weddings in Chicago and the suburbs, but also had weddings in Indiana, Wisconsin, Maine, and northern California. I wonder what fantastic, dreamy locations my clients will have me travelling to this year (I’m secretly hoping New Orleans or Austin make the list).
Oh, also… The first photo looks wicked awesome printed on paper with a metallic finish! When I get a storefront/gallery it will most certainly be a giant showcase print on my walls.
