If you’ve ever attended an event catered by Chicago’s beloved Hearty Boys, then you already know the goodness they have to offer. Not only do they do full service catering and bartending at weddings and corporate events, they also have a fabulous restaurant in the heart of Chicago’s Wrigleyville/Boystown neighborhood. They offer comfort food with an urban flair. Everything they create is done with passion, tasty ingredients, and lots of love. It shows not only in the presentation of food and drink, but also in the amazing staff at both the restaurant and catered events.
I remember having the Hearty Boys at one of my first company holiday parties around 2001, I believe. They only had a small storefront then and a limited catering menu. Nonetheless, they clearly had a bigger vision, and were eager to make people’s faces and tummies smile all along the way. I’m so happy to see these kind, good-hearted guys grow with their Food Network show, a blossoming catering business, fantastic restaurant, and even in their personal lives (with a loving commitment to each other and their son).
Above is a selection of photos of food and spirits catered by Hearty Boys at a wedding I reccently photographed at the adorable West Loop Studio. Everyone feel in love with the individual apple, blueberry, lemon, and pecan pies! And who doesn’t love a mini burger bar?! Head honcho for this event, Kitty, was phenomenal as part florist, part wedding planner, part Hearty Boys manager, part hostess, and all around great gal!
If you’re looking for a fresh, fun place for amazing food or someone to cater your next event (however casual or high-end), I highly recommend Hearty Boys. You won’t be disappointed.
